yeah....ususally the case is that the 4x100 everyone is a whole heap quicker....cause you get the jog into the acceleration and then each person gets to warm up the first 20 metres of their 100 before shit gets down

this is because only the first runner start his part from a complete stop. And that's how they record 100m. From a complete stop.

ofc jamaica would win either usa got to finals or not but if you watched finals you could've seen only 1 team running, others fall behing so much it was embarassing, like i was watching 4x400 not 4x100 so yeah i still think it would be much more interesting to watch with usa in finals then without them.. ;)

The americans were just flat out nervous on the final xchange. I love what the trini guy did though, hold his team mate's wrist when the exchange got a bit shakey. probably not the fastest way but if the americans did that they likely would have won the race, as they were leading up to that point.
